
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program, designed by International House Malaysia based at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, is intended to raise students' English levels to prepare them for Higher Education & Postgraduate work.
The aspects taught under this program include writing reports, oral presentation, and research skills. It helps students to broaden their range of vocabulary by concentrating on the appropriate use of terms and expressions according to the respective fields of study.
The program ensures graduates smooth transition from university studies to workforce equipped with the confidence of having excellent communication skills.
The EAP program comes in eight primary modules namely Academic English; Academic Research Skills; Art of Speaking; Art of Writing; Business Communication Skills; English & Study Skills; Interactive Reading; and Professional Writing.
In addition, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is built-in to the EAP program and included whenever possible and appropriate.

IH-Malaysia can also provide assistance in setting up an EAP program at your centre; help to integrate the programs into tertiary Foundation programs; provide proven curricula, detailed lesson plans & class notes on CD; design timetables and feasible schedules and offer Internet-based follow-up and support.
Options for EAP Programs
The EAP students will, among others, be involved in processes like
Entry Level: IELTS 5.5 with a minimum writing band 5.0, or successful completion of Intermediate Level (B2) English Course or higher or an acceptable level on the IH intake placement test. Length: 3- 12 months per course (part-time)
